Mud, Mud and more Mud!

It was a beautiful weekend and you would think that we would have been on the boats. We all pulled them down to Goose but surprisingly no one launched. Instead, we rode the woods despite the ticks, red bugs and mud. Normally we stay out of the mud, but the testosterone levels were abnormally high on Sat.

This is a result of riding in the back of the polaris.

Theresa sure was brave to ride with Marc. She was clean prior to this.

Marc was preparing himself to be pulled out cause he knew what was coming.

This is what happens when you are riding in the back and your husband pulls someone out.

See that mud flying!

I'm not sure why Ruby wanted to "start" with Marc, it's never good cause you can't win.

Theresa and James enjoying the day.

Todd is contemplating what to say to "Jerome"

James pulling Cheryl out.

"Todd told me not to do this"

Better view of Cheryl stuck

Here she comes

Ruby and a snapping turtle

Of course Marc had to try it.

and try it....

Then Dale had to try it.

and try it........

Thanks Cheryl, for pulling Dale out.

Sure was in there deep.

See how clean they were in the beginning?

Sat Continued

Here they come, BTW did y'all see that no vehichles allowed sign?

I sure enjoyed Mark and Deb riding with us, sorry their Jeep was broke but it was alot of fun this way.

Last weekend, maiden voyage of an airboat going to the races on the Wacissa. Going where no airboat had been before. Got a few dings to show for it.

The train is finally home. This looks crazy when I'm dragging this down the highway. Truck+airboat+Polaris

Paul, Lawrence and Pumpkin heading out for a night of gigging.

Check out the lights on top of the camper. Dale can rig anything!

Dale, Sarah and I went riding Friday and found some new roads. Dog leg rd had not been traveled in a long time. I have the bruises, scrapes and bug bites to show for it.

Dale and Sarah just leaving long suffering rd.

Scenes Around Goose Pasture

I love camping at Goose Pasture. There are so many places that are beautiful and untouched.

Early morning, leaving Goose to take Sarah to school.

Rock Ledge near the Aucilla

Cow Creek. Can you believe how clear the water is?

This is a huge tree and is hollow quite aways up.

Same tree, diff view.

Backside of the tree, notice how hard it leans to one side..

We believe this part of the Wacissa is below the Slave Canal. There is only one way to find out, we plan to Kayak this area soon. GPS tells us it is at least 2 miles south of Goose.

This is one of the views going to Goose, Ted Turner's place.

Boys will be Boys

Someone always manages to get stuck on these roads. Some more than others.
.
To be fair to Mark, he was not stuck, he was just locking his hubs.

Cody is definately stuck, hence the large spray of mud.

Don't worry Mama's truck will pull you out. Gotta love a Ford!

Nothing is Sacred

We found this old ?truck? near Cow Creek.

Mark and Dale just could not leave it alone.

Aha! A VIN number.

Wandering the banks of the Wacissa

Ain't she pretty?

This is a very tranquil part of the Wacissa.

This part is no more than 20 yards from the ove picture. The scenery changes quickly.

This shows both areas in one shot.

Check out Dale's antlers. He is a good daddy, toting Sarah's bear. She was too tired, imagine that.
